Blood pressure is the pressure your blood puts while it flows through the vessels. there are two steps of heart pumping the blood. First, your heart pumps blood to the body and then it relaxes. So the blood pressure reading measured while your heart is pumping blood to the body is systolic and while it is resting is known as diastolic.
The normal readings are 120/80 mm Hg. 120 being the systolic and 80 being diastolic. When a person is having a low blood pressure the readings are lower, e.g 90/60 mm Hg, and when the blood pressure is high the readings are increased e.g, it can be 180/100 mm Hg.
Fluctuations in blood pressure aren’t good whether the readings are high or low. Low blood pressure is caused by pregnancy, heart problems, endocrine problems, dehydration, blood loss, severe infection (septicemia), severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), lack of nutrients in your diet or low red blood cells count (anemia).
